R.J. Jones Group Ltd is a JAUPT Approved Driver CPC Training Provider
We are delighted to announce that R.J.Jones Group is an approved provider for the new Driver’s Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT). This means that we can now conduct courses for the Driver’s CPC Qualifications, which all drivers must obtain by 10th September 2014.

Courses are delivered within our own Training Centre. Fully equipped with presentation equipment, computers and refreshment facilities, the Centre offers a high standard of accommodation for delegates attending our courses. Meals can be provided at the Business Centre opposite our premises at a very reasonable cost. We are also able to offer the same courses at your own premises.
R.J.Jones Group Driver Training currently offers a modular CPC course with four modules running at any time (R J Jones Modular Periodic Training Course, Approved Course No. CRS2868/979). This year (2011) those modules are:
- Module 1: Introduction to DCPC, Working Time Directive & Drivers’ Hours
- Module 2: Tachographs for Drivers
- Module 3: Daily Walk-round Checks & Defect Reporting
- Module 4: Safe Loading and Security Incorporating C10 2006 Loading Standard
Any two modules can be combined to make up a 7 hour course to suit your requirements. As we progress through the 5 year training cycle other courses will be introduced such as:
- Driver Health and Well-being
- International Driver’s Guide
- Safe & Fuel Efficient Driving
- Emergency First Aid for Drivers
- Customer Care and Company Image
- Advanced LGV Driving Skills

RJ Jones Driver Training offers these courses at £70.00 including VAT per 7 hour course. There are no hidden extras: this amount includes the data upload fee paid to the DSA and covers the cost of the Drivers Qualification Card issue.
Courses will normally be run on Fridays with 8 – 10 delegates, even though we are licensed to accommodate up to 16 delegates at a time. We can run these courses in the Training Centre at our premises in Greenfield (Flints.), or at your own premises. If you wish to use your own site we will need to establish the suitability of the premises and will require more notice as well as travelling expenses for our Trainer, but the cost will remain the same for each delegate, i.e. £70.00 inc vat.
We can even arrange for courses to be run at weekends for an additional charge. Details on application.
