R.J.Jones Haulage Ltd is a privately owned and managed company which was founded in 1986 and over the last 10 years has seen major growth. This has been achieved by remaining flexible whilst focusing on customer requirements. We constantly review the range of services we offer and look to react to demand and market trends. The group now boasts a mixed fleet of 123 trucks, over 400 trailers and 150 staff. Alongside this we also have our own in house servicing & repair facility “Carlton Hire and Garage Services Ltd” which runs 12 hours a day, seven days a week, servicing both our own fleet and various outside customers. We can also offer tyre sales & repairs with our mobile unit.
In May 2008 the purchase of DRS (EU) Ltd. allowed the group to expand further in the European markets and the retail sector. Further expansion followed in 2010 with a new depot in Newport, which was moved to Cardiff in September 2011.
In order for our drivers to give our customers the best service whilst remaining aware of the inherent driver safety requirements, all our drivers are continually assessed via the in house driver training and development scheme which is run by our own Driver Development Manager.
Customers also benefit from the satellite tracking technology fitted to all our vehicles enabling orders to be tracked in real time with the associated benefit of load security. The data produced is analysed and acted upon by our in house compliance department ensuring we operate to the latest legal requirements.
